A huge congratulations to this year’s Capstone (SOCPSY 4ZZ6) students for the thoughtful and engaging projects they developed throughout the 2024–2025 academic year. We were genuinely impressed by the creativity, care, and dedication that went into each one!
On Wednesday, March 19th, 2025, the Capstone students presented their work to peers and visitors at a lively poster session held at CIBC Hall. This year was our largest-ever cohort, with 118 students across 21 thesis groups, all supervised by Dr. Kiersten Dobson, Assistant (Teaching) Professor in the Social Psychology program. A huge thank you to Kiersten for her support of the projects.
The attached PDF showcases the posters, covering a wide range of topics from AI to religion, experiences with social media, close relationships, perceptions of crime, substance use, and more. Chances are there is a topic here that might interest you!
Thank you to Miranda MacDougall, Program Administrator, for organizing such a successful event. We’re also grateful to our secret poster judges for their time and thoughtful evaluations: Sydney Hunking (former Capstone student), Michael Lao (PhD student, Health, Aging & Society), Dr. Jessica Maxwell, Dr. Tara Marshall, Dr. Erica Speakman, and Jackie Villanueva (PhD student, Sociology).
