Why Study Social Psychology?
Social Psychology seeks to understand how individuals are influenced by their relationships and social groups.
One of the unique features of our programs is the interdisciplinary approach. In addition to courses in psychology and sociology, students can take electives from a wide range of other disciplines.
About First Year
Students entering into the Faculty of Social Sciences in their first year take a general program, Social Sciences I. This allows students to explore various options and experience a wide range of courses. At the end of the first year, students can then apply to major in Social Psychology.

Program Requirements:
Honours Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology (BA)
Grade Point Average of 5. (C) including a grade of at least C in SOCPSY 1Z03 and successful completion of one of PSYCH 1F03, PSYCH 1X03, or SOCIOL 1Z03. Enrollment in this program is limited and possession of the published minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
Academic Advising
The Academic Advising office is run through the Office of the Associate Dean. The primary goal of the Advising Office is to provide all Social Sciences undergraduate students with the information and guidance they need to succeed in their academic careers.
Advisors can help you make the right academic decisions by explaining policies and regulations as well as presenting different options and supports available in your studies.
